Stage 3 SCP-III Infection

Item #: SCP-III

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Samples of SCP-III are to be contained within agar plate in Bio Containment Site-34. Standard antibiotics are effective against SCP-III, See the document Medical Treatment Of SCP-III Infection for details.

Description: SCP-III is a mutation of Mycobacterium leprae. SCP-III has the anomalous property of spontaneously generating a solution of Hydrofluoric Acid, Naproxin Sodium, [DATA REDACTED], 2,3-pentahexene and [DATA REDACTED]. Buildup of this solution causes bloating. The solution then reacts within the human bloodstream, weakening cell structures such as the phospholipid membrane and destroys the myelin sheath on the nerves. This weakens the muscles and causes partial paralysis. During stage three, the unsupported tissue of SCP-III infectees usually falls off, normally transporting SCP-III safely to other victims.

SCP-III's origins remain a mystery.
